Liberty Hill

OVERVIEW

Liberty Hill is a small, charming little town about 35 northwest of Austin on Highway 183 and 15 miles west of Georgetown on Highway 29. With its affordable housing and upscale neighborhoods, it’s growing quickly!

 
 
 

School System
If you make the move to Liberty Hill, you’ll join Liberty Hill Independent School District. There are four elementary schools: Liberty Hill, Rancho Sienna, Santa Rita, and Bill Burden. Fifth and Sixth Graders will flourish at Liberty Hill Intermediate before moving to Liberty Hill Junior High. Finally, they’ll earn the title of Panther at the 5A Liberty Hill High School.

Population
The 2020 population of Liberty Hill is estimated to be 2,993, making for a 209.51% increase in growth since 2010. Its proximity to Hill Country attractions and to the hustle and bustle of Austin make it the perfect Central Texas sweet spot. A quick snapshot of the demographics will show that the average household income is $81,497, and the median age is right around 30 years-old.

Food Scene
If you’re looking for a fun and yummy night out, Margarita's Mexican Restaurant & Sports Bar is the place to go! Get some no-fuss comfort food at Malted Grains or the five-star Dahlia Cafe with their massive pastel “Watering Hole” tin letters on the fence.

Nightlife
Don’t expect anything like Sixth Street in this charming town, but that doesn’t mean it’s dry! Grab a drink at Liberty Hill Beer Market or Tracie's Outlaw Saloon. If getting out of town is more your speed , you can kick back with a glass of wine at Thirsty Mule Winery & Vineyard.

Shopping
Support small business owners by hitting the shops in Liberty Hill. Shops and businesses include Bluebonnet Boutique, Junque & Disorderly Antiques, and Simply Home Decor & More. You can also take a trip to the beloved Market at Indian Mound Ranch every Saturday for locally grown food and handmade items.

Hotels
After taking a look around the town, you probably want to relax. If you want to submerse yourself in the true spirit of Liberty Hill, have a stay at Liberty House Bed & Breakfast. If you’re thinking of staying in something more familiar, chain hotels like Holiday Inn Express & Suites are located south on Hwy 183 in Leander.

Parks & Natural Landmarks
Start off easy by strolling through Liberty Hill’s Sculpture Park. This garden is home to the works of around 40 sculpture artists from around the world. Lions Foundation Park is a great place to get in a nice walk, but for a more strenuous exploration, go check out Longhorn Cavern State Park!
